CONDOLENCES
Dorothy was one of my favorite "older friends" She, Gen Rule, Joyce Libery and myself were on a bowling team for many years and had a whole lot of fun going to Green Bay for bowling trips. Dorothy was an awesome lady and will be sadly missed by all who knew her. My sympathies to Clyde, their three boys and their families on the loss of their beloved wife and mother. - 11.06.2011
From Mary Cram - Flag as inappropriateI’ve only known Dorothy two short years. That seems brief in the broader scale of the long, lovely life she lived. But they are two of the most blessed years of my life. I can say unequivocally that Dorothy and Clyde Zerbel are the best neighbors I’ve ever had. During this short friendship with Dorothy, she was not physically well. But she displayed such grace, love for her family and friends, and for the entire Marquette area. Besides, she was one of the most humble people I knew. She knew more about Marquette’s history and culture than anyone I know. She lived her entire life on the same street – she really was an institution on East Crescent Street. It will never be the same without our Dorothy Zerbel, but I’m deeply grateful and blessed to have known this lovely woman. I send my heartfelt condolences to Clyde, their three sons, David, Scott, and Roger, and to their families. - 11.06.2011
